The app stores the following locally on your device only:
This data never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app deletes it.
If you grant permission, Wotah writes the water amounts you log in the app to Apple Health as "Water" entries, so your hydration shows up alongside your other health data on your iPhone. Wotah does not read any data from Apple Health.
This data is stored by Apple Health on your device under Apple's privacy controls. Wotah does not share Apple Health data with any third party, does not use it for advertising, and does not transmit it to any server. You can revoke permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Wotah, and you can delete the entries from the Health app.
We use Sentry (sentry.io) to receive automatic crash reports and error diagnostics so we can fix bugs.
When the app crashes or encounters an error, Sentry transmits the following to its servers:
Sentry does not receive your name, email, hydration log, streak data, Apple Health data, or any other content you create in the app. See Sentry's privacy policy at sentry.io/privacy for details on how they handle this data.
Wotah schedules local notifications to remind you to drink water. These are generated and delivered entirely on your device.
Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). Wotah does not see or store your payment information. Please refer to Apple's and Google's privacy policies for details on how they handle purchase data.
If you are located in the EU/UK (GDPR) or California (CCPA), you may request that we delete the crash diagnostics associated with your installation. Because the data is keyed only to a random installation identifier, we may ask you to provide it from the app's "About" screen to locate the records. Email us at the address below to make a request.
Wotah does not knowingly collect any personal data from anyone, including children under 13.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at the same URL with a new "Last updated" date.
